Cracked or broken racquets
Before stringing, each racquet will be carefully inspected for cracks, broken or missing grommets, sharp edges or other defects or structural issues that may cause the racquet, or string to break during the stringing process.
If a racquet is cracked, there is no point attempting to string it. It will break under the pressure of the stringing process.
If grommets are missing, split, or have become brittle and/or have sharp edges, restringing it may cause premature string breakage - especially with off-centre hits. Minor repairs can be done using plastic tubing (at no cost), however more significant damage/issues may mean that the racquet cannot be restrung.
Stringing Machine
All racquets are strung on a 6-point racquet mounting system on a foot-operated drop-weight machine. This machine is very reliable and consistent in how it pulls tension. The machine is calibrated for tension via a digital scale and all care is taken when mounting, dismounting, pulling tension and during the actual stringing process.
Stringing Process
Unless otherwise requested, (or it’s not possible due to the racquet), all single string restring jobs will be done in a 1-piece “around the world” stringing pattern. This pattern/technique minimises string tension loss on the outer 2 main strings, and only uses 2 tie-off knots. This gives an overall better dynamic tension, uses less string and is the most popular stringing pattern used by the pros today.
All hybrid string jobs (2 different types of strings) must be done with a 2-piece pattern.
Payment
Payment can be made upon pickup of racquets via Paypal, Cash, or direct bank transfer.
Racquet Pickup
Racquets should be picked up as soon as is possible after restringing. All racquets and all string types will lose tension as soon as the restringing processes has completed. This tension loss will continue over time.
String tension loss due to not picking up your racquet is not a case to get a free restring ;-)
